Beach & Bush Walks

Cooktown is surrounded by numerous beaches and bays, each one with its own charm and quirks. Finch and Cherry Tree Bays are two of the most beautiful. Either drive to Finch Bay or enjoy the short bush walk from the Botanic Gardens. The secluded Cherry Tree Bay that can accessed through the Botanic Gardens or a walking track off Grassy Hill, is surrounded by rainforest and fascinating rock formations.

Walker Bay, a popular beach tucked away not far from the local Golf Course, is positioned at the mouth of the Annan River and is favoured by anglers and walkers.
